I’ve seen him around town. He has long hair and beard with sparkly eyes. He drives a little brown school bus with the words “Jesus Loves” in the spot where it usually says “School Bus”. On Fridays at dinner time, he drives around town, picks up all the teenagers and brings them down to the church hall. The church people feed them hamburgers and hot dogs. They play games, dance, and then he brings all of the kids home.
He has pager and 12 friends.
I heard they ran out of food at the speedway on the night of the 100 lap modified feature. They said there was almost a riot.
I heard that he drove his bus out onto the dirt track, parked it, and got out. They say that he stood there with three pieces of friend dough in one hand and an order of curly fries in the other.
He fed everybody in the grandstand.
On their way home, the racing fans slowed down to read the little signs that are nailed to the telephone poles along the federal highway. They said it made folks wonder.
I heard that he is good with a hammer and he lives down by the lake
